Jimmy Yeow

A passionate Counsellor and Trainer for over 30 years with young people, couples and families, Jimmy has taught over 90 courses during his 15 years as a Principal Master Instructor of Mental Health First Aid courses.


His passion is in humanity healing, and he regularly works with teenagers, couples and families, who need psychological support and strategies for daily life challenges relating to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, low self-esteem, bullying, abuse, as well as conflict resolution, mediation and cross-cultural communication.


He has been a keynote speaker and panellist for several mental health forums, including annual ‘RU OK’ and ‘Q & amp; A’ events. He taught on personal development and mental health overseas, including Beijing, China and Singapore. Jimmy holds postgraduate qualifications in Social Work Counselling, Youth Work, Family Therapy and Community Development and his private practice is based in Wantirna South, Victoria

Jola Rosinka

Jola brings over 19 years of experience supporting young people and families through life’s challenges. For the past 13 years, she has worked as a Youth Counsellor with Hobsons Bay City Council, where she continues to advocate for, empower, and support young people to thrive.

 

Jola is also a trained Family Mediator and a Tuning in to Kids/Teens Facilitator. She is a certified instructor for Teen and Youth Mental Health First Aid as well as Conversations about Non-Suicidal Self-Injury.


Her passion lies in empowering young people, professionals, and communities to build a deeper understanding of mental health, making these conversations open, real, and approachable.  Jola is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, is a trained family mediator, and an ASIST-trained suicide intervention first aider.

Veronica Strangio

Veronica comes from a background in education and mental health, is a registered Counsellor and an ICF-qualified Coach. As a consequence of working with CALD, First Nation and NDIS clients across Melbourne and Sydney, she founded Mind Health First in 2018. Her motive was to promote the principles of ‘deep democracy’ to encourage people to live to their full potential.


She facilitates Mental Health First Aid programs to youth, teachers and community-based organisations so that those with lived experience of a mental health problem can be better supported. Veronica’s interest relates to trauma including in generational, collective and psychospiritual contexts.


She has been supporting clients as a therapist since 2018 and holds post-graduate qualifications in Mindfulness-based CBT, Hypnotherapy and Process-Oriented Psychotherapy and has taken part in community forums including as a panel member with Global Youth Mental Health Awareness Inc. and as a womens’ wellbeing workshop presenter with Manningham City Council.

John Hesse

John is an experienced and passionate primary and secondary school teacher who has held a number of leadership roles, including campus deputy head of junior school, campus head of wellbeing, and head of house for years 7 to 9 at Caulfield Grammar School. His community involvement includes volunteering with Lifeline crisis support as well as the Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Residential program.


John's expertise in delivering Mental Health First Aid programmes (Teen and Youth) comes from his breadth of knowledge gained through working alongside young people in mental health and educational settings. John quickly builds connections with participants to enable a safe and comfortable setting, whilst ensuring a comprehensive delivery of the required content. 


John has a Bachelor of Education, Masters of Education, Masters of Counselling, GradDip. in Psychology and Post GradDip in Student Wellbeing.
